What this website does
This is a personal professional website introducing Fabjan Pepaj’s work, books and writing. Optional Google Analytics helps me understand how the site is used and improve its content. There are no visitor accounts or advertising campaigns on this website.
Optional website analytics
Google Analytics 4 is used only after you accept analytics. It measures visits and sessions, pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser categories, referral sources, active engagement time, scroll depth and actions such as Amazon link clicks and enquiry outcomes. Analytics uses pseudonymous browser identifiers rather than visitor names. Counts and time measurements are estimates and may exclude people who decline analytics or use blocking tools.
The website does not send your name, email address, organisation or enquiry message to Analytics. Page addresses are sent without query strings, and external referring addresses are reduced to the referring website. Advertising personalisation and Google Signals are disabled. No session recordings or typed form contents are collected by the site analytics code. Enquiry events distinguish the general contact, workshop and consultancy forms using fixed form labels. Your selections, goals and contact details are not sent to Analytics.
Accepting analytics allows Google to set first-party analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. They are configured to expire after 180 days. Your analytics choice is stored in your browser for 180 days so that the website can respect it on later pages. The choice is optional and does not affect your use of the website or contact form. Use Cookie preferences in the footer to accept, reject or withdraw your choice. Rejecting stops further collection and removes accessible analytics cookies.
Event and pseudonymous user data are configured for a 14-month retention period, without resetting that period when a person returns. Standard aggregate reports are handled separately by Google. Google processes analytics information under its service terms and data-processing arrangements. Processing may involve locations outside the UK. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner sites. You can also use Google’s analytics opt-out tool. I use the reports to understand readership and professional enquiries and improve this website.
Contact and personal information
Fabjan Pepaj uses the name, email address, organisation, subject and message you provide, together with any service preferences, workshop topics, audience, participant or project counts, preferred timing, format and location to respond to your enquiry and manage related correspondence. The form submits this information to Formspree, which stores submissions in the form account and sends notifications to the configured email inbox. Please avoid confidential information about children, families, staff or care services. Your enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
Form processing
Formspree may process technical information and apply spam filtering or verification checks to protect the form. Its handling of data is described in the Formspree privacy policy. Enquiries are retained as needed to respond and manage the resulting correspondence. You can use the contact form to ask about the information you have supplied.
Hosting and external services
The hosting service may process technical information needed to deliver, secure and manage access to this website, including connection and access logs. Private preview access is managed by ChatGPT Sites. The site stores your analytics preference in browser storage. Optional analytics cookies are used only after acceptance. The hosting service may use its own technical security measures.
External links
Book retailers, Goodreads and other linked websites have their own privacy policies. Visiting those sites is your choice.
