OPENING A CHILDREN’S HOME IN ENGLAND

From a clear purpose
to a home that works.

Opening a home brings together people, premises, preparation and a shared model of care. I help providers turn that ambition into a practical, coordinated plan.

This roadmap is an overview for England. The right preparation depends on the service, and several stages may overlap. Appropriate registration is required before operating. Ofsted makes the registration decision; consultancy does not guarantee approval or a particular timescale.

For the current requirements, see Ofsted’s registration policy and application guidance.
